Applications for the 2022 Summer fieldwork season are now open.
The Toronto Society of the Archaeological Institute of America is pleased to announce that it will be offering travel fellowships for students enrolled full-time in Toronto area universities. These grants will be for a sum of $500 or more, depending on the number of eligible applicants, for expenses related to travel to participate in a field school or excavation. The award is open to undergraduate and graduate students, but preference will be given to those traveling to their first field experience. Applications should include: a completed copy of this form (2 pages), CV, a copy of the student’s transcripts (unnofficial), and one letter of reference that includes:
1. a clear indication of how this field experience fits with the student’s training
2. a statement of the student’s merits
3. a disclosure of other forms of financial assistance
The application deadline is Friday, April 1st, 2022.
